I think any Filipino dish can be made even more delicious with a side dish of red egg, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, chopped green mangoes, bagoong, roasted eggplant and okra! I’m sure not all of you agree on the okra part but I’m a big okra fan so I’ll include that in the list. Yummy!

re: poached egg. mejo mahirap nga gawin at first. praktis lang. bring to a boil water in saucepan, tapos lower heat until nde na ito nagbo-boil. try mo add 1-2 tsp vinegar to the water before adding the raw egg.
hth!

December 4, 2005 at 2:34 am (18 years ago)i love salted eggs, too 😀 sobrang saya ako when i found out those were also sold here! yun nga lang, the mangoes aren’t the same. i love the maasim kind (manggang kalabaw sa atin), dito kasi they sell the sweet kind (parang apple mangoes). well, i guess that’s one thing about home that i can always look forward to, di ba?
