Cake Mix Cookies Recipe

This Cake Mix Cookies recipe is one of my all-time favorite recipes ever. It’s so simple to follow and the results are deliciously soft and moist cake mix cookies. Mmm!

I’m not big on baking, as I’m not too fond about how precise every measurement should be. I’m more the throw-it-in-the-pan-and-mix-it-up kind of cook. But last December, I wanted to try baking cookies. There were some failed attempts, but after several tries and various adaptations of other people’s recipes, I finally got the perfect Cake Mix Cookies recipe for our family. Here’s the recipe! :) Read more…

The Honest Crop

Healthy snacking that’s also delicious snacking can be a little hard. That’s why it’s great that local companies like The Honest Crop make healthy snacking accessible and enjoyable! I got my first taste of chips from The Honest Crop after our Make It Blissful event last month. The bag was consumed by my family quickly. It’s no guilt snacking, that’s why! Read more…

Bar Dolci Lunch

An espresso cup of Gelato from Bar Dolci.

Office breaks are best enjoyed when there’s good food. I often eat lunch at my desk, or buy from the building cafeteria then eat the packed lunch at our office pantry. There are times though that one officemate would invite another to eat out, and before we know it, we’re pushing our chairs away from our desk, walking in the noontime sun, eager to take a yummy break.

One of my favorite go-to’s for office breaks is Bar Dolci. On the first floor, it looks like it’s simply a gelato place. That’s what I thought for a long time. But one visit led us to look more closely around — they served lunch! They had lunch specials, called their Chef’s Specials, at PhP195. It came with a main meal, a glass of iced tea, and a scoop of gelato. Not bad! Read more…

Beef Nachos from Silantro

SILANTRO is a restaurant that serves Filipino and Mexican food. My family and I tried it for the first time a few days ago and we enjoyed our Silantro experience!

We were at UP Town Center the other day, thinking about where to eat for lunch. We’ve been anticipating Silantro’s opening in UP Town for awhile now so when we saw it was having its soft opening last Wednesday, we went for it!!! Read more…

Ratatouille is a comforting dish. You can eat it as a main meal, but I’ve come to like it as a side dish or a topping on pieces of toasted bread. Here’s how I make ratatouille. The bulk of the preparation is in cubing the veggies, so I suggest that you prepare this on a leisurely morning! :) Read more…

How to Cook One Pot Lasagna

Why eat out on my birthday when I can cook One Pot Lasagna just to my liking? Mmm!

Lasagna. Who doesn’t love lasagna?! It’s hands down one of my most favorite pasta dishes ever. On my birthday, I decided to stay home. There was an option to have food delivered or to eat out, but I was craving, craving, craving home-cooked food. I was also craving lasagna. Here’s the thing though — I’m not very fond of using our oven, and a typical lasagna requires baking. As a believer of one-pot meals, I knew that one pot lasagna can be achieved!!! And yup, it was an achievement unlocked indeed. Here’s what you’ll need for a quick and easy, one-pot lasagna. Read more…

My Go-To Comfort Food: One Pot Pasta

by | Posted in Recipes, Yummy Eats | 0 comment
Comfort Food

Last Friday, I had one of the most tiring days I ever had. I accompanied my child on his field trip and it was 2 HOURS of non-stop play! It was so much fun but also quite exhausting. When my husband picked us up from school, we headed straight for the supermarket where I could buy ingredients for much-needed comfort food. I wanted something tomatoey. I needed something basil-y. I needed something gooey. I need something quick to make! One pot pasta it was. Read more…
