Puto Bumbong

Wordless Wednesday #2: Puto Bumbong is a Filipino delicacy made of glutinous rice steamed in bamboo, then sprinkled with muscovado sugar and shredded coconut. Definitely one of my favorite treats. View other entries here.

Some vendors sell puto bumbong. The ones around the church on Sundays come to mind. Bon Apetit serves them too.

Christmas comes to mind too! But at least we can enjoy these treats even beyond Christmas. Yey for that!
