TWG Tea Salon: An afternoon of relaxation & macarons

by

Tea time at TWG Tea Salon is so relaxing! My family and I gravitated towards the TWG Tea Salon at Power Plant after an afternoon of walking around the mall. It’s situated at Archaeology, across National Bookstore. We were first attracted by the display of colorful macarons. But when H asked me if I wanted to rest a bit and have tea, I gladly said yes!

Tea Time Set!

There are different tea time sets available between 3-6 pm. These are a mix of finger foods, sandwiches, pastries and your choice of tea. We went for the Fortune set. It came with three macarons of our choice, scones or muffins (we chose raspberry muffins), and a Croque Imperial (sandwich with grilled cheese and salmon). We chose a minty green tea to go with it. I forgot which tea we chose! This whole set, including the tea, cost P650.

Relaxing at TWG Tea Salon

It’s so good to have this quiet cove in a busy mall. As soon as we sat our table, we felt relaxed. Timmy went on little boy behavior though and immediately went for putting a spoon on his nose.

Look Mom! No hands!

He couldn’t wait to open his box of macarons. We got these six macarons to go while waiting for our afternoon snack. “Eat macarons!” he kept saying over and over. The colors were just so very tempting. I couldn’t blame him for not wanting to dive into the box!

I want to eat these!

We tried these yummy macarons when we got home. Every macaron has tea in it. Our favorites were the Earl Grey and Chocolate (the brown macaron) and the Christmas Magic one (the pink macaron). Christmas Magic had a citrusy taste to it. It was so refreshing! Timmy loved the blue macarons. I think it was because they were blue. Each macaron cost P60.

One of the main benefits of going to a salon is that it improves your well-being. A haircut, or just a good wash, is a quick way to feel refreshed and energized.
