The game is easy! I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! ๐
To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is HAIR, all questions should relate to hair. What is your natural hair color? What did your hair look like when you were five? As much as possible, letโs not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.
Letโs get a little angsty with this 21st weekend soiree.
The theme: TEENAGERS
My question for Person #1: If you were to come face-to-face with your 16-year-old self, what would you tell him/her to START doing?
Dr Emer
May 31, 2008 at 1:17 pm (16 years ago)Face-to-face to my 16-year old self, I’d advice him to begin traveling. They younger we start to travel and see the world, the better for us. Travel opens up our horizons and improves our insights.
My question to the next commenter: As a teenager, how did you deal with acne?

May 31, 2008 at 5:14 pm (16 years ago)on the contrary, i hadn’t had zit problems when i was a teenager. but when i started working, my face was swamped. it was very frustrating, i’m glad that phase is over too.
Q: looking back now, what do you wish you knew better when you were a teenager?

May 31, 2008 at 5:15 pm (16 years ago)I used Pond’s whitening and anti-acne and it worked. If only Flawless Center was already there that time, the anti-acne solution is much, much better. Especially the Anti-acne lotion, it erases the marks after 1 or 2 days.
Q: How were you dressed during your Prom?

May 31, 2008 at 5:21 pm (16 years ago)@Odette: Oh, I replied when there was only one comment yet. To answer your question, I wish or actually wished (and I realized that after our high school reunion 2 years back) that there’s nothing wrong with being friends with the guys. Because I was sort of restricted or encouraged to be friends with femme only. During the reunion, they were teasing me and laughing at me. They told stories of my weird actions before.

May 31, 2008 at 9:51 pm (16 years ago)i belonged to the cool but low-profile herd, hehe. we weren’t mean to anybody and nobody was mean to us, so in a way para kaming switzerland, we’re neutral territory hehe.

May 31, 2008 at 9:59 pm (16 years ago)I have a couple of them. One is having a boyfriend at 17 – though it was for a noble reason of helping him out as he was depressed and suicidal – it broke me. And, not finishing uni.
Q: How did you deal/cope with the teen issues? (Dating, sex, friendships, growing up stuff..) Was there someone who guided you through all those teenybopper years?

June 1, 2008 at 12:58 am (16 years ago)Perhaps, it was my friends who guided me with those teen issues. I have always felt awkward to discuss teenage things with any member of my family. However, looking back at those years, and EEEWWW pala. hahaha ๐
Question: How would you compare today’s teens to those of your generation?

June 1, 2008 at 11:19 am (16 years ago)Yes!I was eager to be an adult because I want to be dependent, wanted to work and earn my own money so I can do everything I wanted
Question: As a teener, did you break rules of your parents (say being home late or making a great escape just to attend a party, hehehe)?

June 1, 2008 at 11:46 am (16 years ago)I have always been a good kid. I was so scared with what my parents would think, I hid the fact that I had a boyfriend at 15. It was a very childish relationship, we barely held hands.
Q: Do you remember a favourite song in your teenage years? Which one and why?

June 1, 2008 at 9:24 pm (16 years ago)I emoted to Brian McKnight’s “One Last Cry” and Side A’s “Hold On” like a crazed lunatic. They brought to life my angsty teenage unrequited infatuations. I felt like the world was crashing, and now I look back at those days and realize how overly dramatic I was. Hahaha!
What was your hair like when you were a teenager?
Gracey
June 2, 2008 at 3:28 am (16 years ago)I’ve been very lucky with my hair. I think it’s one of my best assets. There were days when I didn’t even need to comb it because it’s so straight and thin. Always good hair day for me back then!
Q: What’s your unforgettable high school moment?

June 2, 2008 at 11:03 am (16 years ago)My most unforgettable high school moment was during my 2nd year in high school. i was invited as sponsor for an exclusive boy’s prom and my dad permitted me to go, after the prom night, my partner brought me home and he gave me my first ever kiss, on the cheeks though, the guy was kinda cute and been expressing some feelings then, whew, good thing dad never saw the kissing thing.

June 2, 2008 at 3:16 pm (16 years ago)when i was a teenager i would have thought it romantic, but impractical. now i just think it may tend to be a bit misguided, hormone-driven, impractical and irresponsible. i don’t think that this is ALWAYS the case, finding love is a precious gift, be it when one is 13 or 30.
Q: what’s one concert you went to (or movie you saw) that made your teen years memorable?

June 3, 2008 at 2:42 am (16 years ago)that would be Freestyle!Freestyle was so famous back then so everyone was rushing to the front. we were in the middle when this “bagsakan of the crowd” happened. in a snap, most of us were pushing one another and against each other just to prevent fall down. then we realized we were all lying down on the floor. so in short, di namin nakayan ang crowd hehe ๐

Which teen AGE was the best for you? (ex. 13, 14, 15…)
