A Tropical Hut Burger

by

Tropical Hut Aloha Burger

I felt like going down memory lane one weekend so I pulled H into a Tropical Hut joint. Tropical Hut patties have a distinctly delicious taste. The aroma of the burgers are different too. I get whirled back to my childhood when I smell their burgers. Yummy. I can’t pinpoint the taste and the aroma… it’s just different from Jollibee’s Yum Burgers and McDonald’s. I don’t frequent Tropical Hut at all but that one weekend I felt I was a kid again when I bit into that Aloha Burger. Uh-oh. I’m not even sure it’s called that. Basta the Tropical Hut Burger with the pineapple.

Okay, I am obviously not articulate haha, I will stop right now. Nothing comes to mind but the term “deliciously distinct” or “distinctly delicious.” Ah basta, my points are: (a) a Tropical Hut burger is a Tropical Hut burger, and (b) a Tropical Hut burger takes me back to my childhood — happy memories.

Happy weekend everyone!

I was so sad when we lost the Tropical Hut at EDSA-Ortigas to a giant hole in the ground. It was such an institution — even though I never really ate there.

yes I agree their burgers are quite distinctly delicious. I’m lucky there is a branch just down the corner so they can deliver right away whenever I want my Tropical Hut fix.

    Happy Weekend Toni :)

annabanana : Salamat! Happy Sunday to you too!

Paulo : That’s what’s weird (or original) about Tropical Hut. I may not have eaten there as much as I did with McDo and Jollibee, but if it does disappear of the face of this planet, I’d be sad.

    noemi : It’s great isn’t it!

Daphne : Ooh they have delivery? Cool!

vangie : You’re welcome! There’s no Tropical Hut near where I live so getting to visit one is a treat!

Christine : Wala kang nakita? Hehehe. Next time nalang!

mare : It’s gooood! Or you can build your own aloha burger!

    tin : Yes do so!

husticia : Hehehe parehas lang tayo ng hilig sa food!

jeanny : Dahan-dahan sa keyboard hehe.

i’d always choose the burgers of TH over JB or McDo! kaya nga saya-saya ko nung may nagbukas na branch dun sa tapat ng village namin eh, hehe! my mom’s favorite is the hawaiian variant.

I agree…Tropical Hut burgers taste like no other. Its also good that they deliver plus the one near my place is 24 hours. But besides the burgers, I also like their clubhouse sandwich and macaroni salad. I just ordered them now and they just arrived. Happy weekend :)
