This evening has been one of the funniest and most interesting nights of my life! Why? I was a guest on Jojo A.’s show. 😀 You know Jojo Alejar, right? He’s an ’80s icon who now has his own “medyo” late night talk show on RJ TV. We talked about doing an interview on Wifely Steps last week and this evening, May 8th, we went LIVE! It was so much fun. While I’ve known Jojo A. personally for two years now, it was my first time to interact with him on-screen. It was also my first time on national TV, hello, so I was feeling a bit nervous. But Jojo really made me feel comfortable and once we started talking, I felt everything just fade away. Haha! Actually, the studio lights were bright so I couldn’t see anyone else except Jojo A. So everything really did fade away literally.

“The Medyo Late Night Show with Jojo A. All the Way” airs on RJ TV every weekday at 9 pm. The first time H & I chanced upon Jojo A.’s show two years ago, we thought “Ang corny naman nito!” But you know what? Jojo A. did get the last laugh because we did end up watching him a lot. By chance we also got to know him personally and I discovered how awesome a guy he really is! Being a guest on his show was a real honor.
Taken during commercial break. The atmosphere was very casual and relaxed. I liked how informal Jojo A. was with the band, with the crew. During the break he’d approach us and share a story or two, then head back to his desk to get back to work! I also got to meet Drae Ibanez of Philippine Idol fame. He was Jojo A.’s first guest.
Ta-da! On national TV! Here I think I was answering Jojo A.’s question on how I started Wifely Steps. At this point all my nervousness just disappeared. Yahoo! He really put me at ease so the conversation we had was pretty smooth and easygoing. BUT! They misspelled my name on-screen! Grrrrr. Imbis na “Toni Tiu” naging “Tony Chui.” Anuveh. Tsk tsk.
After the show, we hung out at the set a little bit and played around a bit. I look like I’m singing here with Jojo A. moving to the beat. Yeah, we’re rocking the set!
More photo ops. That pink tie by my butt is Jojo A.’s. H & I got him a Spiderman 3 tie as a present and he wore it right away, right there on the show. Hehe. And on the right, that seems to be his glamour shot. Parang praktisadong-praktisado ha!
This guy is going places. His show just got picked up internationally. Isn’t that great? Soon, all of America will get to know another late night talk show host in the form of Jojo A.

Jojo’s got his own tv show na pala dyan? back in the 80’s, I remember watching him, his brother (HS schoolmate of mine) and the 3rd dancer of Tigers (their dance group) @ Martin & Pop’s show. I must say he looks more handsome now.

Last movie I saw of Jojo was Moments of Love. I was even trying to figure out his name kasi he really looked familiar…so I had to watch until the credits and pause the DVD to find out.
