Mugs to the rescue!

by

Those mugs aren't just for coffee!
My Mom wanted to put fresh flowers on every table for her afternoon party. We had bouquets of pretty mums but lacked vases. She spotted these mugs gathering dust on one of the kitchen shelves. “There!,” she pointed. As soon as we got the mugs down, I started fixing the flowers.

I love Mums because they’re very pretty and casual. They looked great with the mugs! The casual flower centerpieces were a great touch to the afternoon party. The sight of flowers helped heighten the freshness quotient of the warm afternoon, and the mugs helped heighten the casual atmosphere of the party.

nice idea dear! but i dunno where to find lovely mugs like those…

i’d like to recommend The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I was just reminded of it when I saw your post on The Painted Veil. The Time Traveller’s Wife will be turned into a movie soon also, casted Eric Bana and Rachel MacAdams for the parts. Check it out! It’s a beautiful book :) Tapos I’ll loko up your recommendation naman. Hehehe.

Wow, I wish had the talent (and time) to do those! Great job :) Likewise for your blog! I’ve been visiting for the past few weeks and I enjoy the way you write as well as the illustration in your header :)

I’ve read The Time Traveller’s Wife too. It’s on my favorite books list. I’ve been wanting to read it again and now with maan mentioning the movie is coming out soon I think I have more incentive to do so. I like reading books again right before their movies launch so I can compare the difference hahaha.

great! The colors of the flowers were heightened by the whiteness and the simplicity of the mugs. Now, where did my wife placed those mugs???

Very nice. Reminds me of Rachel Ashwell of Shabby Chic. Remember her? I love mums also. I used them for my wedding. They’re my favorite flower next to stargazer and casablanca lilies. Ang cool naman ng nanay mo. And Happy Mother’s Day to both of you.

    great arrangement! :)

I do arrange flowers for church service every saturday. It never tires me to create. The flowers remind me of how wonderful one of God’s creation is… :)

i remember i had no floral foam one time for an arrangement, i used my newly bought roll of toilet paper. difficult but it came through. :)

    i love your blog. :)
