Weekend Soiree #50: A game of comment interaction

by

HAPPY 50TH WEEKEND SOIREE! We skipped some weekends due to a little holiday hiatus, but we’re back to regular programming! Thank you to all those who’ve supported and continue to support our Weekend Soiree. 50 soirees and counting now!

The game is easy! I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! 😉

To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is DOGS, all questions should relate to that topic. Have you read the book “Marley & Me”? Who was the first dog you befriended? As much as possible, let’s not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.

Tabula rasa! Let’s start with a clean slate for our 50th soiree.

The theme: SOMETHING NEW

The question: Have you ever watched the sun rise?

india, anywhere in india…goa, mumbai, calcutta, agra, kashmir. i have always been fascinated by this country and culture, it’s patterns and archetypes, more so after reading an anecdote from w.b. yeats about bengali women who put into music the poetry of rabindranath tagore while working on tea farms. india, to me, is one country that is so conducive to thinking and which is probably why the indians are such an intelligent group of people. despite its abject poverty, i will forever choose the reality of india over the artificiality of las vegas.

I haven’t bought myself anything yet since xmas! :) And we plan on sticking to essential items only when it comes to our purchases this year as we are anticipating the birth of our first child come July.

What habit would you like to develop this year?

    Happy new year Selina!

I’d like to exercise regularly this year. Exercise went kaput last year, no wonder my health was bad.

What’s the newest thing you’re wearing right now?

My tita brought this great dessert – lemon torte. It’s very very different. The crust is made of meringue and the filling is lemon ice cream but light as a sorbet. Yum yum…

    what’s your favorite new song?
