Welcome to the 4th update of The Ref Door Project! This is also the 2nd to the last update. But before I start writing about the last installment, let me tell you about those two ref doors first!
On the left is my Mom’s ref. It’s decorated with tons of baby pictures. She has baby pictures and recent ones of my 11-year old cousin. My nieces and nephew’s ages range from a coupe of months to 2 years old so their pictures are on the ref door too. One can’t help but smile looking at this ref door. It’s absolutely filled with cuteness. And I just noticed she has a calendar on the bottom part of the ref door but I hardly see any of them in the household write on it!
That’s my Grandmother’s ref on the right. I took this picture a year ago. My favorite items on this ref are the ones on the upper left — a pair of Grandpa and Grandma’s Kitchen magnets from Hershey’s. My grandparents are fantastic cooks and so these magnets are perfect for them. On top of the ref is a big green sphere. I’m not sure what it’s called but we’ve used this for picnics. It holds plastic cups, plates and bowls. The red apple-like container holds our meal prayers. All these have been in their home for as long as I can remember.

May 9, 2006 at 2:45 pm (18 years ago)it’s taken me this long to finally take a pic of my fridge or as what most pinoys call it.. “ref” – anyway, haven’t had a chance to right anything about it, but for me, i like keeping the front of my fridge clean, so most of my reminders, photo’s and magnets are on the side of the fridge.
as people walk in the kitchen it’s the first thing they see – the display of photo’s i have. i like things in neat order, sometimes i think maybe i should have a random placement of pics on my fridge, but i know after a few minutes i’d have to rearrange and clean them up again
i enjoyed looking at your ref pics in this project toni!

May 9, 2006 at 2:51 pm (18 years ago)Sa Baguio when I was a kid, we used to call the ref “fridge”. And then TV commercials called them ref, so I thought fridge was already outdated. Come to think of it, perhaps it’s a contraction of the once-popular ref manufacturer Frigidaire. Tama ba spelling?
I know that green sphere thing! I bought one at the Human store a couple of years ago as a Christmas present. My mother loved it.
