Serving tip: Slice up chicken fillets and serve more!

by

Here’s a serving tip when you’ve got breaded chicken fillets on the menu. After you’ve cooked them, slice them up into fingers, slivers, sticks or whatever you call it. You’ll be able to serve more folks!

We tried it when we had Torikatsu for lunch a few weeks ago. There were a dozen of us at lunch and we had only eight pieces of torikatsu. Eep! We didn’t want anyone to miss out on the delicious torikatsu, so thankfully our cook thought of slicing them up into smaller pieces.

Does this count as a serving hack?

It’s a quick and easy serving tip. :) Instead of making only 8 guests happy, all 12 got to taste the delicious torikatsu! Yey! Of course, one lesson learned is that we should have that one torikatsu for each person next time, but hey, some folks didn’t want to eat too much of it, while others wanted to eat more. I’d say it was a win-win for all. :)
