When you pay attention to the little things, the bigger picture becomes clearer.
I wrote that in line in the context of saving money [Read: Tipid Araw-Araw (Save Everyday)]. As I reflect more and more about it, I realize it also applies to making a marriage work.
It’s the little things that make it sweet. Preparing your husband’s toothbrush before bedtime. Getting him a glass of water before he even asks. Welcoming him with a kiss and a hug upon coming home. Sending a sweet Viber sticker. Texting ” I love you” in the middle of the day. Holding hands in the middle of the night.
When you add all those up, it makes for a thoughtful, caring, loving partnership. The little things make up the big things. If I want a marriage that’s big on love, I should be mindful of the little loving things that can be done everyday.
When you pay attention to the little things, the bigger picture becomes clearer. The bigger picture is a loving marriage. The bigger picture is, always, LOVE.
