I love Manila. I don’t believe the city can be called “the gates of hell”, but it’s not exactly perfect. Billboards in Manila, for example, are crazy plenty. They make for great advertising, but they could serve a higher purpose.

Billboards in Manila: Gimme some green!
What if all billboards in Manila were replaced with hanging gardens and flowers? Call it a pipe dream. The traffic situation doesn’t seem to be getting better. Pollution is still bad. There have been attempts to green up EDSA. What if, for just one month, all billboards in Manila were to go fresh and be green?
Perhaps air quality would go up even just a tad. Perhaps sitting in traffic wouldn’t be so bad with the calming greens to calm us down.
It’s a possibility, isn’t it? It’s a pipe dream for now, but hey, a girl can dream.
