Popsicle Sticks: Learn and Play

by

Coloured popsicle sticks can go a long way in amusing little kids.

Play with Popsicle Sticks

I brought home these coloured popsicle sticks as a little present for my son. They didn’t cost much but they were big with playtime!

Good fun with Popsicle Sticks!

Timmy loved his pasalubong of colored Popsicle sticks last nite. He immediately sorted them by color! 'Yewow'. 'Reeed.' 'Boo.' 'Gween.' 'Owj.' (Orange) And he can't say purple yet. :) Simple joys.
A rainbow of popsicle sticks colors

The first thing Timmy did was to sort the sticks by colour. No prompting from Mommy! ‘Yewow’. ‘Reeed.’ ‘Boo.’ ‘Gweed.’ ‘Owj.’ ‘Popol.’ Simple joys!

What letters do you see?

We also tried the letters route. I’d make letters out of the sticks and he’d tell me what letters they are. That was fun. I tried creating animal shapes too but wasn’t very successful. Maybe I’ll stick to letters and numbers next time.

We also tried stacking the sticks one on top of the other. That was fun too!

How would you play with these colored popsicle sticks? C’mon and share!

B used to have those. He glued them together though, to the wall. Hahaha.

Aside from color-sorting, letter-making, shape-making, we use them to play pick-up sticks too! :) Heehee!
