Carl and Ellie: An Awesome Love Story

by

One of the best love stories was told in less than 5 minutes: Carl and Ellie Fredricksen, from Pixar’s UP.

In old age, Carl seems to be just another grumpy old man. When you learn about the love of his life though, you get to see the man in a whole new light. Here’s the Carl and Ellie love story. Grab a tissue!

Lessons from Carl and Ellie

  • The greatest adventure you can have is simply being together.
  • Enjoy the adventures of everyday so you don’t miss out on how awesome life is.
  • It doesn’t hurt to go ahead and save up for the big adventures too! Just don’t forget of the little ones you have along the way.
  • Take time to watch the clouds together.
  • Take care of each other.

The mailbox is prime. I think my husband and I need more of those “Carl and Ellie” labels. The only thing we own with our names on it are Thank You cards we had printed ten years ago.

What did you think of the UP love story? It’s classic, simply classic. Definitely one of the best love stories out there… even if it was told in less than five minutes!

I totally cried when I first saw Up in the theater. Of course my boys made fun of me, but I bet I wasn’t the only mommy crying! :)

Now that I think about it, my husband and I don’t have anything with our names on it. My parents on the other hand have wrapping paper, thank you cards, gift cards and ribbon! O diba? :)

Your parents are so sweet!!! I want to create more labels for my husband and myself but I don’t know what to stick them on. The TV? Haha!

i LOVE this movie. i think my boyfriend (now husband) also teared up when he saw this. after the movie, he asked me my dream destination because he’ll make sure we go there together, instead of him making his house fly. haha.

I absolutely loved that almost 5 min collage of Ellie & Carl’s love story. Each time “UP” is shown on the telly, I tune it to that montage then change the channel.

I do get the whole go for your adventure theme of the film but it got weird for me when dogs started talking. Such a non issue since it is an animated movie, after all! 😀

I love UP too and the cute love story Carl and Ellie shared. Watched it with hubby in my laptop before we discovered I was pregnant with our son some 3 years ago. It’s refreshing and inspiring to watch it again.

I loved the first part of Up. :) The second part not so much! But overall, it was a heartwarming film.

I also love the first part of the movie so much! :) My husband and I, we don’t have those couple labels :( It’s time to have one!!! Although I’ve been in search of a heritage design of a Liz Claiborne bag because it says LC, and that’s us – Lyndon and Chrissy :)
