Weekend Soiree #27: A game of comment interaction

The game is easy! I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is LOVE SONGS, all questions should relate to that topic. Have you ever dedicated a love song to anyone on the radio? Which love song makes you cry? As much as possible, letโ€™s not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.

Let’s walk the runway for the 27th weekend soiree!

The theme: STYLE & FASHION

My question for Person #1: How would you describe your own personal style?

bulok. actually, hindi naman gaano. siguro, i will describe my usual sartorial appearance (if not going to work or church) as proletarian. i am a cotton shirt- blue jeans-sneakers kind of person. fashionably boring, ikanga. but i’m free, wehehe.

    q. years ago, a lady-member of a european royalty (england, i think) was caught by paparazzis walking down the streets of her country wearing jeans. one fashion expert kuno (blackwell, i think) considered her as one of the worst-dressed women of that year for demeaning royalty, while another so-called expert considered her as the year’s best dressed for the exact opposite reason – putting casual fashion within the realm of royalty. assuming you care, on which side will you be?

As I’m a casual dresser myself, I’d have to agree with her being best dressed. And why should royalty be stiff and stuck with plaid?

    Q. Are you brand conscious?

Definitely am NOT brand-conscious. I buy whatever looks good, and I don’t mind template clothing as long as it’s comfy.

Would you ever wear anything you saw paraded on the Paris runways? (Sorry, not really a fashion-savvy guy.)

Ralph Lauren for clothes and Tods for bags and shoes. I love the laidback look of their designs. How I wish this question was a primer for good things to come ๐Ÿ˜€

Question : Do you scour the discount shops/outlet shops for last season’s designer stuff?

It’s a simple white round neck t-shirt with print that reads: kiss the earth, touch the sky, hike, bike, climb & fish, Yosemite National Park. I have such a close attachment to this t-shirt some people in the places I hang out probably think it’s the one and only shirt I got.

Premise to Q. There is a short story called Change in Fashion by Steven Millhauser which tells about a new fashion where the dress cuts are assymetrical, with weird contours that are almost architectural (pyramids, boxes, odd contours) – and the bold fashion statement is that these new dresses must liberate women from the tyranny of the female shape.

    Q. Are you going to wear these dresses even if you’re shapely? Are you going to wear these dresses because you’re not shapely?

No, I won’t wear those fashions. I prefer other means to make a statement.
Also, I don’t want to attract attention based on the clothes I wear – I did that in my teens :) These days, if I do attract attention, I’d like it to be for me!

    Okay, my question is:
What is your absolute must-have when it comes to summer fashion?

I can live in a T-shirt, jeans and my flip-flops. I’m most comfortable wearing that outfit.

Describe a pair of red shoes that you own (aside from the fact that they are, well, red.)
