Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream from Sebastian’s

Have you ever eaten anything that made your eyes close, insides tingle and toes curl? I have. Sebastian’s Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream.

Sebastian's Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream

Holy friggin’ caramel, Batman. It was so good. It’s inspired by a classic French confection — salted butter caramel candies! Yum. This dessert has creamy caramel ice cream and is made with butter and fleur de sel. Melt in your mouth goodness. I love how the salty-sweet combo played so well together. I’m drooling just recounting that awesome ice cream experience.

The toddler's butter biscuit for my salted butter caramel ice cream

If you’re big on sweets, this ice cream is definitely for you! I took one of my toddler’s biscuits to enjoy with the ice cream, just to cut down on the sweetness. It was still very good.

What I would do to make it even more delicious: Add more salt! The salty-sweet combo is fine as it is, but it would have more WOW! if there were big(ger) salt bits. Oh yeah.

What made this scoop even more delicious was that I got it FREE! I won one of Sebastian’s Guess-the-New-Flavor contests and actually won! While I was typing in my answer I kept saying “Please let it be salted butter caramel please let it be salted butter caramel please let it be salted butter caramel…” I guess my taste buds were more in tune with the ice cream universe than I thought.
