Quicky No-Bake Cheesecake

by

Getting started with the crust

1. Throw in about 12 graham crackers into a blender., 2. Throw in butter and whiz., 3. Lay out the crumbs in your dish., 4. Stir about 60 grams of sugar into one box of softened cream cheese.

Cream cheese, sugar, cream

5. Whip the cream, use double cream if you have it. I used 250g of all-purpose cream., 6. Fold in the cream cheese, 7. Pour onto the crust, 8. Spread out.

Chilling, topping, eating

9. Chill for at least 3 hours, 19. Ready to eat!, 11. Top with cubed mangoes, 12. Or top with a peach.

It was good, even better when I put it in the freezer shortly before serving. Quick and easy, right? :)

To make a chocolate cheesecake, you can also try mixing in melted chocolate chips. :)

Oh yum. Thanks for that. I love cheesecake. My mum made a simple one, too but I think that she had condensed milk and cream cheese or something similar. That one looks much easier and no messing around with gelatine! Phew!

I can’t be bothered with gelatine either! πŸ˜€ And I was debating with myself if I was going to include condensed milk in this recipe. I settle for sugar instead. I was afraid it’d turn out too sweet for my taste with the milk in.

I think I should try this. Btw, can i use any sugar? or do i need to use a special kind of sugar like confection sugar?

    dyanies last blog post..Snail Mail

It’d be ideal to use icing sugar! But I used regular sugar and it worked fine with me.

the crumbled graham held? it won’t if you do it for tiramisu. maybe that’s because tiramisu will be more liquid-y than the cheesecake crust. looks really delightful Toni! I just wish we can still have stuff like that… sigh!

Yup it held. The consistency of the cheesecake was thick naman eh. :) And thanks Jet!

ang sarap naman nito…how much butter with the graham crackers?

Hi Jojo! I don’t measure eh. Hehehe. I adjusted the butter as I went along, checking if I got the sandy consistency for the crust. In my case, with 12 pieces of graham crackers I used about 4T of butter. :)

I’m a sucker for blueberry and strawberry cheesecake!

I didn’t have either of those toppings, but mangoes and peaches were quite delicious too!

I think i would prefer if the fruit was layerd below the whipped cream… cause you are gonna end up just eating whipped cream pie. Putting the fruit under the cream allows you to get the full flavor in every bite.

    That’s a good tip. Thanks!

Hi Ms. Toni, this is so nice. It will be my first time to try this. Can there be an alternative to butter? I want to do this for my husband but butter is not good for him because of heart disease. Can you suggest one? Thanks. :)
