Making money through blogging

by

Blog for MoneyBlogging for profit isn’t such a new thing anymore; a lot of personal blogs I’ve been reading have started riding the paid posts bandwagon. Others have applied as part of bigger blog networks to expand the reach of their ideas and pick up some cash along the way. These are great indications on how the “word of blog” is becoming a powerful tool for marketing products and services. I have to admit, I have bought several products and have seen movies upon the recommendation of some bloggers. The persuasive power of bloggers is definitely very potent.

If you’re looking for venues to blog for profit, here’s an interesting link I received from Ate Sienna: 28 Sites That Pay You To Blog. Perhaps several of those opportunities will appeal to you.

Another interesting blog I visit regularly is Just Make Money Online. This is a blog whose money-making tips are always relevant and easy to follow, all written in a very encouraging tone. You’ll get ideas on how you can further monetize your own blog.

Tell me how your blogging for moolah goes. Are you one of those who’ve joined the paid post rush? Have you applied to the big blog networks? Do share your blog-for-cash experiences. I am sure we can all learn a thing or two from what you have to share, or at the very least, be inspired. 😉

    Hehe, volturi is my keyword.

I earn enough money to buy a pair of 7 jeans every month but that just started happening! And I’ve been blogging for years.

Wow tintin! That’s a lot! Care to share your secret? 😀

I have to add: I DO NOT buy 7 jeans every month.

    But you could. 😉

I have been problogging since October 2006. I started with one blog on a network my friend was helping start up and I’ve now expanded to entirely too many blogs. However, at this point I can comfortably pay two student loan bills and a medical bill. (And will be paying them off for the next decade. *grumble*)

I feel more comfortable blogging for a network or group site (I write about videos on a single site with others) because I can just write and I don’t have to worry about the technical side too much.

Hi JM! Thanks for sharing your experiences. I’m thinking of trying out for more network stuff as well so I don’t think about the tech site too much too. We’ll see. I love your blogs, btw. 😀

I use ads in my blog but don’t do paid posts. I like to keep the blog content my own.

    Same here. 😉

Blogging can really get you going if you know the right tools, and some strategy. The google penalty is a huge blow though. Your earnings suddenly lie at the mercy of “the mighty Google”. So better have a good strategy 😀

I never really got that, the Google penalty. I should read about it some more. 😀

i recently started doing it on an old blog separate from my more current and personal one. it hardly gets updated since i only get one, at most, two opportunities each month. if and when i stop work for a couple of months i’d probably consider doing it seriously as one source of potential income.

I’m thinking of doing that for my WS blogspot, but I’m not too hot about it yet. Methinks I will think about it some more!

I have been doing it for a year. It paid my son’s one year tuition, got me through my bunso’s first birthday party, got me a DSLR (back when it was still not that affordable), got me so many bills without worrying how to pay , plus shopping on the side. I make more than what I earn from ym regular job – that was around 5 months ago, With Google penalizing paid bloggers, it is harder but the earnings are still substantial – enough (and more) for me to keep doing it 😀

WOW! You must make a LOT! Galing naman ha!!!

Thanks for those 2 very informative articles on paid blogging.

I started late last year but I choose and write reviews which are relevant to my blog, my life and my experiences. I still keep my blog filled with personal stuff and try to balance its content. It is tempting to just go crazy and write sponsored posts all the time but it defeats my purpose to keep a virtual diary chronicling my little moments.

So far I haven’t touched my earnings, I intend keep saving them for some rainy day(s) :)

Good for you Daphne! Always a good option to save. 😉

Hi Toni. As you know, I am a pro blogger with b5media. My monthly earnings from my blogging raket is enough to buy me my luho but not enough to make me quit my day job (If I lived in Manila where I was earning in Pesos in my day job and US Dollars with my raket then the case would be different). The raket paid for my beloved Macbook, our wooden buffet table and our family trip to Sydney last year. Oh, it also paid for my sister’s airfares to come to NZ and of course all my panggastos whenever I go to the Phils. Haha yes, dami ng benefits ng raket ko!

I want to try paid blogging though but I don’t want to do that with my personal blog (as you can see it’s free from ads or any sponsored posts) so I *may* create another blog solely for sponsored posts. We’ll see.

Hi CG! You are definitely one of the best models for problogging. :) Definitely an inspiration!
