The Kitchen When It Sizzles is a sizzling book indeed. When I learned that one of my favorite bloggers (and now, one of my favorite local writers!) Chrissie Peria had another book out, I just had to read it. She gave me a heads up that this would be a pretty sexy book (compared to her first novella), and I was like, bring it on!
“Kitchen” is a sweet and sexy story that’ll get you craving for noodles, perhaps some ribs, anything yummy that would make you want to get running to the kitchen. It could also make you want to take up cooking classes with a hot chef.
Lead character Olivia Nadal is the almost perfect woman with a fabulous life. She works in advertising, has her own place, has an awesome best friend who’s a strategic planner (Chrissie, I love this character. Hahaha! Mabuhay ang strat planners!), has a fabulous wardrobe… Her inability to cook is her only weak point. She ends up getting cooking lessons from hotshot chef Nate Olivarez. Emphasis on the HOT. The chemistry between teacher and student is intense, and the story follows how the two heat up the kitchen.
You kind of know where the story is headed, but you’ll relish how it gets there. Maybe you’ll even want a second serving.
It’s also on the iTunes store, but not available in the Philippines. To know more about the fabulous author, click on the following links:
