All’s Fair in Blog and War: Book Review and Giveaway

by

All’s Fair in Blog and War is a fun, lighthearted read that I truly enjoyed in just 2 days. I couldn’t put the book down! It’s a contemporary romance novella set in Macau, about a pair of feuding travel bloggers. It had all the elements needed for an enjoyable quick read: romance, travel, food and best of all, good writing. Since it’s a love story, you probably know what’s going to happen. But how it’s going to happen, I’ll let you discover that!

All's Fair in Blog and War

What I loved best about this book was how Macau came to life for me. I’ve only been to Macau once, and I wish this book had existed before my trip (which was more than 5 years ago). I had a better appreciation of Macau after reading All’s Fair in Blog and War, and man, now I want to go back. From walking down the streets full of food stalls to hey, who knows, maybe even bungee jumping, it made me see Macau from a different lens. I was so enamoured by how Macau was told through the eyes of the lead character, Five Cuevas, that I went to the author’s blog to browse through her old entries about Macau.

All’s Fair in Blog and War was written by Chrissie Peria, one of my all-time favorite bloggers. You probably know her from her blog Kitchen Cow. She’s a great cook, wonderful photographer, and a creative writer. It’s really awesome to see how her writing has brought about a lovely romance novella. I can’t wait to read more from her!

Five Cuevas
@5travels
 Three guesses to where I’m going next. Starts with an M.
Ends with a U. Has a lechon named after it. #travel

Twenty-something travel blogger Five thinks she has hit the jackpot when she gets invited to glittering Macau for an all-expense-paid bloggers tour. Think majestic old churches, sparkling casinos, exhilarating bungee jumps, and the world’s most unforgettable egg tarts. The trip is practically perfect, except for one little glitch. She gets assigned to be travel buddies with Jesse, the world’s most infuriating photo blogger, and it’s definitely war at first sight.

Will Five let Jesse turn her dream vacation into a total nightmare? Or will falling in love be on the itinerary?

    I want to win this book because aside from the fact that I love to read and want this to be added to my collection, I want to know how the romance started and ended with the two feuding travel bloggers.

    Hi Toni! Would you believe I met Chrissie earlier today while falling in line outside Yabu in ATC? It’s true! I actually chanced upon All’s Fair in Blog and War online several weeks ago when I signed up to do a book review for another author (who incidentally was the one I first saw outside Yabu, and the one who introduced me to Chrissie). But I also really wanted to read this book. Sounds like a fun read! :)

    Thanks for this giveaway Ms. Toni. Actually, your blog brought me back in to reading because your an avid book reader and I really adore your son Timmy who also loves books. I am teaching my daughter now by following the ways on how to raise a book reader, just like what you blogged about.
    I am really hooked on books now and a newbie on blogging that is why I would love to have a copy of that. Hoping to win. :)

    I’ve come to discover that regardless of the street you’re going on nor how troublesome it could be, it will continuously lead you to where you should go and to individuals you should meet.
