I Can See Clearly Now with Shaving Cream

by

Soft Foam from stock.xchgMy bathroom mirror needed a cleaning this morning, but I had no wipes on hand. I read somewhere that shaving cream works on mirrors, so I gave it a test. Making sure that H wasn’t looking, I took hold of a can of his shaving cream. I then smeared a little bit of foam onto the mirror, then wiped it clean with tissue. It worked! My bathroom mirror was super clean. No more pesky dots and streaks. Yes! Now I know that can of shaving cream will come in handy for bathroom cleaning emergencies. You know, for when unexpected guests drop by.

Mirror mirror on the wall! Who’s the cleanest of them all? My bathroom mirror, thanks to H’s shaving cream. But, uh, don’t tell H okay? It’s our little secret. 😉

    Lagot ka!

Actually the trusty newspaper and water is a lot cheaper than H’s shaving cream :) the ink and the newsprint mixed with water makes a clear cleaning up of bathroom mirrors. try it!

i’m laziest when it comes to cleaning mirrors, coz it’s such a hassle using newspaper and water. so i guess shaving cream is a more convenient, though more expensive, option.

Junnie: We don’t keep newspapers at home! And pang-emergency lang naman ‘tong shaving cream. 😉

Jojo: Yup, it is more expensive but more convenient. It’s great for when you’re in a cleaning rush.

Great tip! I wil try this if my husband shall purchase a shaving cream. Unfortunately, he’s one of those who look tidy still even after not shaving for two months. :-)

Shaving cream is good to clean stains in carpets as well. We’ve tried it before.

“Stains in carpet can be a hassle to remove. Never rub a stain, just blot. Rubbing breaks down the fibers and spreads the stain. Remove most food stains with shaving cream. Spray on and resist the temptation to rub it in, then let it set for 15 minutes. Rinse with a vinegar and water solution.”

That’s new. Kaya lang nobody uses shaving cream in the house… I guess the toilet paper will do for emergencies. I wipe the mirror using wet tissue then follow it with dry tissue. 😀
