Family portrait in hands. This is one of my favorite works of art with Timmy. It’s a simple tracing of his hand, Mommy’s hand, and Daddy’s hand — one on top of the other, like we’ve got our hands together.
Family Portrait: Hands
Family Portraits
A family portrait technically should show a picture of a person showing only the face, up to the neck or shoulders. Somehow though I feel this little crayon drawing of Timmy’s captures my family best. We’re very close. We like to draw. We do hold hands a lot. Even without the faces I know we were smiling when we did this little project.
It’s definitely one of the best family portraits we have at home. Traced and drawn casually on a weekend afternoon with red, blue and green crayons. Timmy and I had traced our hands on the dining room table, while we traced H’s hand while in bed.
We drew this last month, but we take it out from time to time to share a smile over it. Yesterday Timmy went into naptime holding this portrait close to him. I guess he really likes it too.
Why don’t you create your own “holding hands” family portrait too? Post on your blog and share!
