Embotido or Fruitcake?

Embotido or fruitcake?

This was the mystery dish of our Christmas dinner.

It was shaped like a fruitcake block but was very pale like embotido (meat loaf). It was served along with the main courses, right smack between the kimchi and a huge bowl of rice. Was it a misplaced dessert dish? Or was it really meatloaf?

Which do you think it is — embotido or fruitcake? :)

My guess is it’s a raisin bread or something similar; not fruitcake or embotido at all. Received a raisin bread last Christmas which looked like lechon de leche.

Judging by the glazed fruits and nuts on top, I say fruitcake! :)

my guess is neither. It must be bread considering that it’s surrounded by edam cheese. Do tell.

    this is a trick question…

    it is Raisin Bread.

and inside are ingredients common to embotido, and it tastes like Fruitcake with all the raisin and some nuts and fruits – maybe rhum too

It’s FRIDAY! The answer is: FRUITCAKE.

It was a very pale fruitcake.

The family helper could have thought it was a main course because it did look like embotido, and so placed it along with the other main dishes.

Why there are cheese slices around it I don’t know. Maybe they taste good together! I didn’t get to try.

Congratulations to those who got the answer! 😛
