Cooking with Wifely Steps

by

First, I just want to say that I’m really happy that blogging has helped me share a lot of my kitchen experiences. It warms my heart when I read how these recipes inspire you to learn how to cook, cook more often, and for others, step into the kitchen for the first time! I am no culinary expert. I am just a lady who enjoys eating food, preparing food, and better yet, learning how to prepare food.

My best teacher has definitely been experience. A healthy sense of curiosity and willingness to experiment have absolutely helped me become braver in the kitchen. I have a lot of experiments that turned kaput — a Hot & Sour Tofu Soup that should’ve been entitled Hot & Bland, a Lemon Butter Shrimp dish that turned out tasting like it had been sitting in the ref for a week, a Sinigang na Tuyo dish that was overloaded with saltiness. But as I always tell H after a failed experiment, “Let’s consider this a learning experience.”

Wifely Steps isn’t really a food blog. It just happens that a lot of my wifely experiences have been happening in the kitchen. Cooking is something I’ve come to embrace. Hey, I’ll take cooking dinner over washing the dishes anytime!

Here are some recipes I’ve shared with you over the course of my blogging journey. They are all very simple. Enjoy them! Thanks for sharing these learning experiences with me. I look forward to creating more dishes with you in the future.

AnP: It depends on the recipe! I choose the ones that are easy to follow. Nothing fancy for me. I’m still an amateur so next time na ang mga extravagant and complicated dish recipes.
