Think of this: your favorite toast soaked in honey, then topped with silky smooth ice cream, blueberries and whipped cream. All for you. Yum.
My best friend and I trooped into Caffe Ti Amo at Greenbelt 5 one day, curious about this shop. We couldn’t tell if it was a coffee shop or a gelato shop at first. Maybe it was both! So in we went and I was instantly taken by a poster of their Honeybread Gelato.
It’s simply honey bread topped with your two choices of gelato flavors (I chose rice and chocolate). It’s served with a dollop of cream and a generous helping of blueberries. love how everything complemented each other. It was sumptuously sweet but not cloying.
One order costs Php199, which I honestly thought was a bit too much. Perhaps a bigger serving and it would suit its price. Would I order it again? Maybe if I had an insane craving for it! If you want to try something new though, it’s not a bad way to enjoy a new twist to gelato.
Caffe Ti Amo is at the Ground Floor of Greenbelt 5, across Mango.

March 1, 2011 at 1:26 am (13 years ago)This looks insanely good. I guess you can make one at home, too. I mean, it’s not that complicated. Okay, maybe you won’t have blueberries, but I guess any fruit or jam would do. I’m going to make one for myself tonight.
