Bringing emerald into your home

by

How do you incorporate Pantone’s color of the year into your home? Through lots of gorgeous ways! Emerald is such a refined color. My grandmother once had a set of emerald green glass figures and they all looked so delicately exquisite. Makes me wonder where they are now; they sure would make a great addition to our home.

Emerald is such a polished color it can heighten the elegance quotient of any room. Here are some of my favorite finds online. C’mon Dorothy, let’s head down the yellow brick road and see how emerald can rock our homes.

Start off with the entrance. I dare you to paint your front doors green! This reminds me of an elegant version of a Sesame Street building.

Painting furniture in green is also an option. Side tables would make a great bedroom accent!

Communal tables painted emerald remind me too much of grade school. I’m guessing I won’t do this for our dining room, but it would look pretty in a garden. I’m also getting good learning vibes from tables painted green, so perhaps a communal table in a study room would also be awesome. If I had a study room, that is. (Mentally pinning this to a vision board!)

A green wall behind wooden shelves (or the back of the shelves painted green) looks like a great way to bring nature into your home.

Now this is something I’d really like at home. A huge kickass painting in nothing but hues of emerald green. We currently have one similar like this in various hues of orange, but a change of color would be nice!

My grandmother’s figures looked something like this hanging glass decor. Maybe she did have it way back in the ’70s. Loving the look of this swing lamp!

Woah, didn’t know this magnificent machine came in emerald too!

If you don’t want to give your home or big pieces of furniture a paint job, green accents throughout the home will also shine. Emerald green mugs and bowls look pretty not only in the kitchen but throughout the home. Candle holders too.

Green has always been my Granny’s favorite color… There’s always something green in our house when I was young. That “nature” feeling is something I truly miss… Gusto ko tuloy umuwi! :)

Cham: Aw. :) Green reminds me of my grandparents’ home as well. Maybe they brought more of the outdoors in back then.
