What do you get when you melt milk chocolate in a bowl then dip crunchy strips of bacon into it? A snack that must be divine in concept, but one that can be disgusting when wrong in execution. The latter applied to us. There’s been a lot of talk about bacon chocolate for ages that I decided to finally get a taste of it. My sister melted some milk chocolate, we got some fried bacon and a-dippin’ we went. Blech. I guess it’s not that easy to make bacon chocolate.
So when my other sister surprised us with a legit bacon chocolate bar, we were ecstatic to try it out! Alfie’s Bacon Bar is a little bar with chocolatey rich bacon goodness.

This bacon chocolate bar was good. Salty and sweet, just as I imagined it. It goes for PHP150 (around USD3.47) a bar so savor every bite! You can get this from Machiavelli Chocolatier at Rustan’s Makati’s Essenses area and Rustan’s Shangri-la Mall, Cosmetics & Fragrances area.
This snacking experience should be no less than divine so I think we’ll stick to the expert chocolatiers when it comes to bacon chocolate!
