Acquainted With The Night — Edward’s Poem

by

This poem immediately reminded me of Edward Cullen from the Twilight series.

Acquainted With The Night

I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain – and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.

I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.

I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,

But not to call me back or say good-by;
And further still at an unearthly height
One luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.

— Robert Frost (1874-1963)

This poem looks like something from Edward’s thoughts before Bella came into his life.

Acquainted with the Night
Thanks to Amy for leading me to this lovely poem.

its really obvious na the twilight series left a lasting impression on you ha. :) yup, this would be something that edward would have thought of. :)

Sobra. Sobra akong nahumaling sa series na ito. I am so addicted to it!

If I had super duper cash, I’d fly myself to Forks, Washington and go to all the places featured in the series. *L*
