All red meat is bad for you, says a study from the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston (Los Angeles Times). Even before reading that post, I’ve been trying to cut down on meat intake. It’s really difficult, especially if you’ve been a carnivore all your life. It’s even more difficult when faced with a plate of delicious Baguio longganisa.
I’m not a big fan of longganisa in general but this was the BEST. LONGGANISA. EVER. This was a meal I had from Everything Nice Cake Shop and Cafe at Camp John Hay, Baguio City. I don’t think I’ve had a tastier meal. Delicious.
My son’s not a meat eater (by choice!) so he had toast with jam and butter instead. It was also yummy. Baguio strawberry jam is so good. Those drinks in the background are our orders of Raspberry Iced Tea. It was good but too sweet for my taste. I’d order it again but will request for more ice next time.
Stop by this cafe when you’re in Baguio! The place in Camp John Hay is cozy and warm. The staff is also very friendly and courteous.
Will I say goodbye to red meat? I’ll certainly try, but if you find me at Everything Nice Cake Shop and Cafe I just might eat my words… with a side order of Baguio longganisa. Mmmmm.
