Weekend Soiree #51: A game of comment interaction

by

The game is easy! I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! πŸ˜‰

To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is PICTURES, all questions should relate to that topic. Do you have a signature pose when you have your picture taken? Do you enjoy photography? As much as possible, let’s not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.

Let’s give our eyes a visual feast for our 51st weekend soiree.

The theme: READING

The question: Which do you read more often — magazines or books?

given my low EQ and career time constraints, i usually devour magazines nowadays…

but my question is: if the magazine or book just has photos- is the act of going through the contents of this book or magazine still “reading?” =]

Does reading blog posts count? I occasionally read books before going to bed, if it’s not too late. Right now, the following books are sharing bed space with me: Harry Potter 7, Twilight and Taking Holiday Pictures.

Enid Blyton — I love all her school stories (St. Clare, Malory Towers, Naughtiest Girl) as well as her fantasy series (Enchanted Wood, Faraway Tree, Wishing Chair etc)!

Q: Have you noticed that people have been reading less books in the past decade, and do you think that the primary culprit of this is the DVD format?

I agree … and not only the movies and DVD’s to be blamed … but the e-books as well.

We have an entire room dedicated to our books. They are displayed by category and dusted often. We’re pretty fanatical about the whole process. Lately we’ve been buying a lot of secondhand books and have developed a “washing” process for when we get them home.

What book, if any, changed your life?
