Weekend Soiree #44: A game of comment interaction

by

What would you like to play?

The game is easy! I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! πŸ˜‰

To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is SLEEP, all questions should relate to that topic. Do you have insomnia? What do you usually wear to bed? As much as possible, let’s not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.

Let’s see who throws the dice first at our forty-fourth weekend soiree.

The theme: GAMES

The question: Which game do you do better in: Monopoly or Pictionary?

The last time I played a board game was two years ago when my best friend found, while de-cluttering her stuff, our old high school favorite: Trivial Pursuit. :o)

What was your favorite outdoor childhood game?

I was the “Piko (Hopscotch) Queen” when I was a kid. It’s amazing how we had all these rules to the game that were really complicated, and now I’ve forgotten them entirely!

Did you have one of those Game & Watch handheld thingies? (I ask because I never did, haha!) Which one?

No, I didn’t have my own Game & Watch, but I borrowed them like crazy from my classmates who were ticked off when I beat all their high scores! Helmet and Manhole were my expertise. And also Chef, Octopus, Egg, Parachute and Popeye. Ah. Such fond memories of my geeky childhood.

A to J’s Q: I preferred board games. Was never much of an outdoors person (plus i was a bit on the chubby side–still am! hehehe) so the physical activity was a bit of a problem :)

A to Pistachio’s Q: I loooooved tetris/brickgame and I remember turning off the sound so that I could concentrate more on it. Hehe. Level of expertise was above average I guess :)

ooh yes, i do! especially during boring lectures when I’m falling asleep. I used to love playing this spongebob game, but I lost my handphone memory card so now I’m left with Sudoku and some ski-ing game.

Do you think that addiction to games is unhealthy?

Got me there – I did want to be the banker! And life did imitate “art”,er, my penchant for “banking” as I indeed was in the banking industry for a good decade or so before retiring early to be the “domestic diva” I am today. :)

As for my games-related question: What do you prefer to play, Guesstures or Pictionary?

the ship is sinking. the announcer will say “the ship is sinking, group yourselves into ____ (a specific number)”. whoever is not in a group with the exact announced number is out of the game.
