Simple Pasta Perfection

Auntie Nini's Pasta Perfection

This is my Aunt’s fabulous pasta dish. It’s easy to make. All you need are these 5 ingredients:

Your choice of pasta
A head of garlic – chopped
Olive oil – about 3-4 tablespoons
Sun-dried tomatoes – a handful, add more if you want
Parmesan Cheese – to be sprinkled as generously as you want

For this dish, we used Rotelle — pasta shaped like wagon wheels. They’re cute, aren’t they? While you can use spaghetti or linguini, it’s also a good idea to explore other funky pasta shapes to add to the visual appeal of your dish.

So here’s what you do.

1. Cook pasta according to pack directions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a pan, heat the olive oil. When hot, slide in the chopped garlic and cook till almost golden.
3. Slide in the cooked pasta and stir, stir, stir.
4. Put in a handful (or more) of the sun-dried tomatoes and stir some more.
5. Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Done! 5 ingredients, 5 steps, and hopefully you get 5 out of 5 stars for this one. Happy eating!

i love this dish because without sauce, it’s light and so easy to prepare. is usually sprinkle some italian herbs as well, and a few sprigs of rucola.

Thanks for the herbs and rucola tips! Oh wait, I gotta look up what rucola is. 😀

Your pasta is really cute! And I have a jar of unopened sundried tomatoes waitning to be used … thanks for the tip! Although some of the noodles are a bit deformed … slighly overcooked maybe?

Hahaha! Yes I think so, slightly overcooked!
