Quiet Moment

by

My friend Donna passed away this morning. I wrote a little bit about her in a previous entry. She’s very young, only 25 years old. She was a good friend of my sister’s and became a colleague of mine several years ago.

(Note: Wrong computation. She’s only 24. :( — 10/10/06)

I got an SMS message about her passing just a couple of minutes before I was to stand in front of a lot of people and give a presentation. Trust me, it wasn’t easy, but I knew what to do. I kept my calm and silently dedicated my presentation to her. I’m certain she knows why.

Dazed; am I dazed again? Not quite. I believe she lived a beautiful life — one full of love and laughter. I think of her and the first things that pop in my head are how she’s so makulit, how she eats a lot but never gains a pound, how she’s antukin, how she hung out a lot with my sister then, how she was loved deeply by her family and friends… they are all good memories. I remember her with a smile. And then I say a thanksgiving prayer to God for sparing her of any pain, of any hardship. She lived a good life.

Please pray for her family and loved ones’ healing. Please pray for Donna’s peace.
