Pork and Greens

Pork Bistek
Marinate strips of pork tenderloin (about 1 kilo) in 1 cup soy sauce, 3 cloves crushed garlic, a dash of black pepper and lemon juice. Leave for at least an hour. Marinating it overnight will do too.

Heat oil in a pan. Fry the pork till tender, then set aside. In the same pan, saute 2 onions (I like mine in rings). When translucent, put the pork strips back in along with the marinade. Add water if you want it saucier. I put about 1/4 cup of water in. Next time though I’ll put in some more because we wanted a saucier dish. Don’t forget to taste it!

Buttered Beans
Melt butter in a pan. Stir in a handful of baguio beans for 1 to 2 minutes.

Serve the pork and greens side by side. Eat with hot rice. Yummy. This is one of my favorite dishes and now one of H’s favorites too. :)

Kain na!

paz: It’s very simple! Another way to do it is to fry the onion rings muna till they’re almost wilted, then take them out, then fry the pork. I like that the sweet onion juices are left on the pan and then mingle with the pork. Baka imagination ko nga lang yun hehehe.

Hmmmm.
