Notebook in my Bag

by

Do you carry a notebook with you wherever you go?

Notebook in my BagIf you do, we share that in common! Pen and paper are still my best friends whenever I need to write something down. I’ve tried personal digital assistants, even inputting my to-do list or blog ideas on my cellphone, but I find that I’m more comfortable the old school way. So my bag is always a little bit more cramped with at least one notebook.

What do you write in your notebook? Mine’s a potpourri of stuff. When inspiration strikes, a poem finds it way there. When an inspirational or funny line is shared by a friend, I write it down right away in this notebook. When I brainstorm, ideas are written down here. When I’m cherishing alone time at a coffee shop, I take out either my book or this notebook. I’ll probably get more done if I carried a laptop instead, but I prefer this unplugged way of writing ideas down.

I used to collect notebooks. Notebooks with pretty covers, colored springs, lined or unlined, locks or no locks, scented paper or no scent at all. I’m still fascinated by the many notebook designs I see in Fully Booked or Powerbooks. So many cute ones! I’m partial to Moleskine though, like the one pictured here, which is from their 1 of 4 Woodstock designs. Super love the simple and groovy cover.

What does your notebook look like? Show us! Let us know what you write in it too. That is if it’s not a secret. :)

I take notebooks with me when I travel. I jot down stuff/items that I need to remember so when I write a journal in my computer I have the info in the notebook.

However, I tend to use one notebook per trip, even though I only use a few pages for that said trip.

On a daily bases, I always carry around a post it (large size) in my bag for note taking.

Notebooks are still the best. I just used up my old moleskine and am debating whether I should spend on another one. Masyadong mahal! So instead, I picked up an old notebook from home, a narrow, ring-bound, graphing paper-style notebook from MUJI.

What’s inside? Anything! Meeting notes, ideas, shopping lists, tasks to do—labo labo na! 😀

I still do bring notebook in my bag. It’s a must to me wherever I go (stuck in traffic, waiting in line or waiting for someone). I write in there: important notes, anything that comes in my mind, payables / receivables, topics, sites, etc.

I am still using handy Green Apple notebook!:-)) Today, my notebook’s experiencing wear and tear, maybe I need to buy a new one. 😀

Besides a planner which is so important even if i’m not doing anything important these days, I bring a notebook, or a scratchpad or both. I always think that I’d have some spare time when I go out so i always bring one to write in and a set of pens. i’ve only gone for cheap notebooks – papemelroti’s unlined notebooks are my favorite, but of course, i’m not able to take care of it well so the cover’s almost tattered). in my notebook, i have a sort of bucket list, books to read, movies to watch, things to download or burn, scriptwriting notes from sir lao’s mini-workshop, quotes from novels, a poem i wrote while waiting for my cousin at the mall at the height of ondoy, random diary entries (depending on my mood, i write on the computer or in my notebook), and lately, dreams. the scratchpad serves for everything else if i’m bringing it along – notes during org meetings, the occasional story idea, doodlings. both still have to live their full life.
