Not our kind of bounty

by

BountyMy friend brought a bag full of chocolates yesterday. There were mini bars of Mars, Twix, Snickers, Milky Way and Bounty. Everything went quickly except for Bounty. Apparently our little circle of friends isn’t into the coconut-chocolate combo.

Is there a chocolate bar you’re not too fond of?

When I was pregnant this was one of the things that I enjoyed eating and craved for. I must say I haven’t had them in a while, a wee bit too SWEET. Kitkat has a similar version of it. I liked it as well, but not as much as Kitkat witn peanut butter. Unfortunately they don’t have it anymore.

Hi, just saw a shout “shout shout let it all out” which reminded me of a song, so popped over to see your site. Very nice. Yes, my daughter and I made up (true) people story’s as we traveled by bus or train, or waiting at airports, so enjoyed my visit here today.

nahirapan ako!! 😀 if a pile of chocolates was laid in front of me, i would probably touch anything by hershey’s (because compared to what’s really out there, hershey’s is atrocious) and godiva (overrated kasi! it’s belgium’s version of hershey’s. atroce!) last.

but wait, there is something that i wouldn’t touch, even if you paid me to do it: healthy, organic, ecologically friendly chocolate-covered ants. hindi ako aardvark, hehehe! 😛

eye : That’s my favorite chocolate naman!!! LOL!

jennie : Godiva Liquer… yan ba yun parang may vodka vodka sa loob?

Kai : Okay can I have your chocolate bars w/ peanuts then? :)) I’ll give you my plain chocolate bars! Let’s trade!

Meeyagirl : Eek! I haven’t tried those choco-covered ants. BUT I’d give it a whirl and see! Who knows? Baka matransform ako. Hehehe. Choz!

I would have gladly taken the Bounty chocolates. I didn’t realize not too many people like it. Bounty, Nestle Crunch, Snickers, and Hershey milk chocolate with or without almonds are my favorites. Also, Toblerone! Hay, the list is getting longer….

I can’t stand anything that’s overly sweet or hard on the teeth such as the Dove candy or even Butterfinger, Bit O Honey. Latley, I’m more inclined to have darker bars and less of it also! I have a Scharffen Berger mocha bar that’s mysteriously lasting two weeks now!

MJM: Now I know what your favorites are! But are there any choco bars you don’t eat? =)

mare: That Scharffen Berger bar sounds very interesting. Tinitipid mo ba? Hehehe.

diane: Ako naman I like peanuty chocos! So mas type mo ang plain ol’ chocolate bar like the classic Hershey’s?

You can’t make me eat Milky Way or 3 Muskateers or any thick chocolate with soft fillings. I need the nuts or something like that to contrast the texture. I’m also not a fan of dark or bittersweet chocolate. Ironically, my young daughters are, just like their dad!

Toni, I used to never like chocolate with coconut…I remember my lolas would find half-bitten coconut candies in their Sees Chocolate Boxes..only when I got older did I appreciate the taste..At first I didn’t like BOUNTY either…now I love it! especially the Dark Chocolate Bounty (red wrapper)…ang sarap, especially when it’s eaten cold. =)

MJM : Okay your chocolate desriptions must made me hungry. *L* I too like something that contrasts with the texture — you put it very well!

jennie : Aaaaah yes I’ve tried that. Weird nga, pero ok siguro yun na pang-trip-trip.

Zita : Mmmmm, macaroons. Haven’t had those in awhile.

tintin : Yes I’ve tried Chocnut! I LOVE Chocnut!!! But Bounty doesn’t taste like it.

Boo : Ah! Thanks for that tip! I’d like to try the Red Bounty before I dismiss Bounty from my life altogether. =)
