Shopping for presents is an activity I enjoy, especially if it’s for a kid’s birthday. Going through children’s book sections, picking out little clothes and shoes, testing different toys — what’s not to enjoy!
I chanced upon these little learning books in National Bookstore yesterday. The bright colors and Disney characters immediately drew me to these books. Each book was made from a foam-like material and had thick pages, making it easy for a young one to hold and flip through. I knew I found a winner present!
The first book I picked out was on colors. Each color was associated with a Disney character.
Green is for Peter Pan, White is for Marie
The second book I got was on animals. Each animal was associated with a Disney character.
Dumbo is an Elephant, Squirt is a Turtle

Cute, aren’t they? The colors were very attractive and the characters were very cute! Not only do the kids get to learn about colors and animals, they get to build a relationship with Disney characters too. That would make for an interesting Disney video experience!
Other available books were on Shapes and Opposites. In Shapes for example, the little one is introduced to “round.” The accompanying illustration was Mickey Mouse with his ears highlighted and the line “Mickey’s ears are round.” In Opposites, an example is thin and fat. Randall Boggs was the thin example, and Henry J. Waternoose III was for fat.
Each book is half the size of a pocketbook.
They’re very reasonably priced too (PHP70.00 = USD 1.43). The books are little, but big on learning!
