Kiddie Party Food

by

Hotdogs and Marshmallows This is one of the best party foods ever! When I was a kid, I remember my Mom and aunts sliding a barbecue stick into a hotdog and topping it with marshmallows. They made lots of those. Then they’d stick these snack delights into a head of lettuce (or was it cabbage?) or a pineapple. Pretty! But not too pretty to eat! This is usually served with spaghetti and fried chicken during a kiddie party. Yum!

hurray for kiddie parties! pwede rin stick those hotdogs with marshmallows in pakwan. tapos add cheese cubes to the hotdogs & marshmallows. sarap ng combination. even now as an adult, nakiki-agaw pa rin ako sa hotdogs on stick na yan kapag may party! 😆

hi toni! i tried doing those for Ninna’s bday. sad to say, hindi siya pumatok, haha. actually, i think ang hinahanap-hanap namin was the juicyness of the plump, red hotdogs back home (ie. purefoods, etc). dito kasi, parang too salty yung (orangey *gasp*) cocktail hotdogs nila (which are boiled, rather than fried! ugh!) and hindi masarap papakin, hehe. haaay, i miss those (cholesterol-ly) dogs! 😀

hmmm, party food! i love those red hotdogs, really tender juicy and tasy! we have frankfurters here that can equal the taste, but for someone who grew up with articially colored food, i miss my purefoods! ako i put some cheese and pickles and i also love munching on those kikiam, which is best paired with pineapple slices! ay, kainis…nagugutom na naman ako! 😀
