Chicken Little On The Road

~*~*~*~

Chicken Little and I are going on a trip this weekend. Pictures of his trip coming up soon! (Kung tuloy!)

I’ve been writing more poetry lately, one of which I wrote for our Blogkadahan’s theme on Poverty. It’s not yet up but please do visit what my friends have to say! This topic is one of the richest ones we’ve tackled and I’m proud of all our work. Different perspectives make for richer learning after all.

I haven’t been in a “wifely steps” mood lately. No cooking has been done in our new place, just a little cleaning and a lot of chilling out. My list of things to buy for our new home consists of the following:

-a mop with a pail (and that wringer mechanism so I don’t have to use my hands)
-a new broom
-a mirror for the living room
-a full-length mirror for the bedroom
-cleaning rags
-a container for my dishwashing soap, sponge and hand soap by the kitchen sink
-a table for my little stove — the one we have now is too high for me; I won’t be able to see what’s inside the pan!
-… the list goes on and on

Can anyone recommend a good floor polisher? And something that can take the stains from the floor out? There are little drops of what look like black paint or black shoe shine stuck to one part of the living room. I’ve tried scrubbing and scraping it off but it ain’t workin’!

You know SCRUBS right? I’ve been reading these quotes and been trying to stop giggling too loudly. I so love that show even if I don’t get to catch it that often. BOO to DESTINY! They don’t have Star World! Anyway SCRUBS is one of the wittiest and wackiest shows I’ve seen and it’s up there on my Favorite TV Shows list. Other shows I love that don’t get to watch anymore are One Tree Hill and Whose Line is it Anyway.

Ramble, ramble. Rambling helps ease stress in a weird way. You jot down all your disconnected thoughts and in the process declutter your brain of itsy bitsy things that just want to jump out.

“You’re not going to fry me at the end of our trip right?”

I lovelovelove Scrubs – I still watch my S1/S2 just for laughs. Yes, the writing is exceptionally amusing but also they have this uncanny way of bringing in intense and serious events, it just blows you away!

there’s this Black&Decker floor polisher / vaccum cleaner that I had my eye on several months back, saw it at the SM Appliance Center at the megamall. It had three rotating scrubbers, and whatever dirt and grime it scrubbed off your floor would be sucked into the vaccum mechanism and into the waiting dustbag. Not a bad price either at 5K thereabouts, although that part of the budget went into something else instead, I forget na what. But get a load of this website: Black&Decker — now doesnt’ that make your mouth water . . .
