Boyfriend trumps Sister

by

I was playing Hangaroo in the den when my sister came in with her boyfriend. I heard her ask him if he wanted to do videoke, a.k.a. Magic Sing. Turns out he had to leave early so they just watched a bit of TV.

When he left, I asked my sister if she wanted to do Magic Sing with me.

She just smiled and then left the room, leaving me with a kangaroo about to hang itself.

Shot through the heart!

I’m not cross. I still love her of course! I understand the whole thing. It happens (Boyfriend trumps Sister)! I’ve been there and done that too. Been there, been that, hehehe. If I already felt that way, I wondered how mothers felt when their teenagers would rather talk on the phone with friends than spend time with family. Yowza.

Lesson for all of you with little brothers and sisters: Enjoy all the time you can spend with your little siblings before they grow up.

    enjoy ko yang hangaroo!!! 😀

nwys abt the topic. yep my mom would always tell us that. ksi like us, nung naglakihan kami, may mga kanya-kanyang lakad na, etc. and she misses those days na bata pa kmi and hawak pa nya kmi sa leeg 😀 and so we really cherish the days na nagkakasama sama kami at nagbobonding ngayong malalaki na (matatanda lang pala ksi di naman lumaki :D) kmi… ayan, nahomesick tuloy ako … namimiss ko na family ko…

naku toni, i’ve already experienced the “teenager finds family time boring” part haha C1 of course prefers time with his friends na now. all i can do is tell him that giving time to the family is also impt.—balance is the key. (but surely he doesn’t get that now)

I know how that feels too! The last time I went back to Manila, my youngest brother was too old to be teased! I used to bonk him on the head, and now I’ll have to tease him from a few feet away because he can easily bonk me on the head (since he’s waaaay taller than I am now! grumble grumble)

But when you’re all in your 20s, hanging out with siblings really starts to be fun!

I’m jealous you have a younger sister! I only have 3 brutes of younger brothers. Hehehe.

aah, my nephew love hangaroo. He would even mimicked the poor kangaroo. Yeah, you’re right. play with them while they are still young for they might not want to go out with you when they get old. There are so many things in life that they don’t know yet.

while i like playing hangaroo, i hate that kangaroo. pinapatay ko ang sound kasi nanggigigil ako sa kangaroo at minumura ko din siya. my sister loves to watch me play!

now, about that stage where we’d rather spend time with friends than with family, been there and done that, too. pero, now, especially kasi i’m manila-based, sobrang happy ako at chini-cherish ko ang bawat segundo that i spend with my family or at home.:)

pero siguro nga ang lungkot nu’n para sa parents, ‘no?:(

ela : Awww. Sometimes narerealize lang natin kung ganno kahalaga kapag wala na ‘no? Pero may oras pa naman tayo to reconnect with them. And when that time comes, lubusin natin!

    sha : Kaka-addict yan!

justice : He’ll get it sooner or later. You know how teens can get!

kala : And you have one older sister right? 😀 Yeah, hanging out with sibs when they’re aolder is fun. You can talk about crushes without anyone bursting into tears!

annabanana : Ykes ang bilis talaga ng panahon!

Sophia Ko : And let’s make sure they enjoy their childhood as much as they can!

Diane: Hahaha naiimagine kitang nastrestress sa kangaroo na yan. Ano nga pala tagalog ng kangaroo?

dang : Taha na *gives you a kleenex* Hehe.

lissa: Yeah it must be tough when you live far from the family! I guess that’s why reunions are naman diba, reconnecting. :)
