Atenista ka ba?

by

Got this from Friendster! After filling this out, I realized how much I missed college. I’d do it all over again, really. So here’s the Ateneo survey thing…

What I did in Ateneo:

X eat at Manang’s — (Also called the “Clubhouse.”)

X learn the alma mater — (I don’t memorize it though!)

( ) get on the dean’s list

( ) lie down and sleep on a bench along EDSA walk

( ) be a TNT!

X jog around the campus in the evening

X visit the art gallery

( ) know at least one xerox lady, manong, or technician by name

X get a Jesuit for a teacher — (Fr. David. The best.)

X itch from higad bites

( ) have gotten an F in something

( ) have taken a crap in school

X watch a La Salle vs. Ateneo UAAP game — (But of course!!!)

X give a powerpoint presentation — (Memories of Business classes… good and bad ones.)

(NA) study in the Caf Upstairs — (There wasn’t one yet when I was studying there.)

X watch a T.A. play

(NA) sit on the SEC ledge and watch the stars — (No SEC yet when I was studying there.)

X eat in Full House, ( ) Martha’s Kitchen, and X Ken Afford

X sleep in the lib — (I did this a lot. The lib was my sanctuary.)

( ) visit Mr. San Andres

X go to the chapel

X gotten a pebble stuck in your shoe/slippers in the middle of the quad

( ) cut class with your block to watch a movie with barkada or org mates

X sign up for those institutional (i.e. difficult but brilliant) teachers: Ferriols, Dacanay, David, Manacsa, Ang, Escaler, Arcilla, Totanes, and many others

( ) go to CERSA night

X tried siomai rice — (P15-20 bucks for 3 pieces of siomai and plain rice from the COOP. Student-friendly, I loved it!)

X learn how to smoke

X fall in love

X actually read the book you keep borrowing from the lib

X play cards during your free time — (Tong-its, Pusoy Dos, Tarot, Hulaan, etc.)

X dress in business attire — (Dang business presentations! Blazer, pencil-cut skirt, pumps… *shivers*)

X learn to stay awake for more than 24 hours straight — (Yup, more Marketing projects.)

( ) have gotten side comments from ASSOC — (Not that I know of!)

X take Saturday classes

( ) go to your immersion

X eat Food for Thought sandwiches

X get a boyfriend/girlfriend

X take time to read the vandalism in the CR doors

( ) watch “Minsan Lang Sila Bata” and “Macho Dancer” for class

X do a last minute paper

X have spent a lot for 1×1 ID pictures

x get exempted from final exams

X attend a college mass

( ) promise to quit smoking

( ) play hide-and-seek in the mini-forest — (There’s a mini forest?)

X know where the best restrooms are on campus — (Soc Sci Dept!)

X join an org

X allow yourself to make mistakes

X take summer classes — (I was a nerd! Took my lessons in advance during summer.)

X admire the sacred heart statue in the evening

( ) make a video for a project

X have a crush on a teacher

( ) attend a Jesuit retreat (a must for everyone)

( ) have gotten a parking ticket

X come to school in your crappiest yet most comfy clothes — (Worn out shirt, faded shorts, sneakers… very much the anti-thesis of elegance!)

( ) learn how to use the Bayantel pay phones

X participate in school activities

( ) catch the Blue Babble Battalion tryouts

X date an Atenean

X ride a tricycle on campus

X find a tambayan (COLAYCO, SS foyer and EDSA) — (Quad 2! LHC Bench! Lib steps!)

( ) admire the marikina valley at night

X go drinking along Katipunan

( ) learn how to beg for a higher grade

X use your cuts wisely — (It’s all about pacing.)

( ) volunteer to be class beadle

( ) had the worst lottery schedule for reg

X admire the trees on campus

( ) have forgotten about your free cut and gone to that class

X eat in the ISO canteen

X be active in your org

X have signed up on an ACP class just because the girl or guy u like signed up for it

mine was fr. dacanay in ateneo law. he made quite an impression on me, to say the least. about two years ago, he officiated the wedding of my friend (his former students). it was great seeing him again :)

haay, college. (hindi man ako from ateneo, i still agree with you na) tama ka, nakakamiss! :)

kala: Hi fellow nerdoks! We had the same goal. I shifted courses so that meant having to catch up with the rest of my new blockmates. Papayag ba akong magpahuli? Hindi! I never had a summer vacation for real during my college years.

hahaha – that took me back.

nandoon pa ba yung graffiti sa 1st floor women’s bathroom sa tapat ng chapel na nakalagay: “don’t sit like a frog, sit like a queen?” at yung sa 2nd floor men’s room naman, “you hold the future in your hands”

jesuits – ferriols, roche, reilly…those jesuits are the best.

uaap games are the best! lalo na pag la salle ang kalaban!

manang’s! nakopo! i still remember when Aling Puring’s restaurant was in Katipunan, called “Eagle’s Corner”…..those were the days.

ASSOC – that started during my time – some of my best friends – Mhel Garrido and Andy Maquiling were members.

this comment dates me, eh? :)

I signed up under Father Dacanay, the first to kick me out of class but gave me a C anyway w/c is good since he’s famous for giving away Ds. :) Tambayans would include the bench near the caf, bel field, berchman’s. No caf upstairs yet when you were there? You were spared of the bad food. Hehe. Siomai ang food trip ko and inihaw at Manang’s.

jennie: Fight, fight, blue and white? Hehehe.

How would you do that? I hated passing through that hallway. And yes, your comments date you but nakakaaliw naman eh! :)

paul: Paano ka tumambay sa Bel field? E diba ang init doon? Hehehe. And yes, no caf upstairs pa when I studied there. I did get to see it though during my visits to the place. Di ko na naabutan ang SEC at yun bagong business building. Atenista ka pala. :) What’s your batch?

Nakikiraan lang po. Tried answering the first 10 or so questions, and I answered yes to only two or three. Kasi naman, di ako Atenista. Hehehe.
