A Home, An Engagement and A New Idea

by

View from Upstairs Itsy bitsy kitchen Let there be light and fresh air!

Sneak peeks of some parts of our new home. These pics were taken before we moved in — so just add about five to seven boxes in each picture, plastic bags piled on top of one another, a water bottle thrown amidst the mess and a tired couple on the floor. That pretty much captures how it looks right now! I am looking forward to the weekend when we can unpack more things. I don’t think I can take anymore of our maze of boxes! Everyday is an obstacle course!

~*~*~*~

In other news, my cousin Iya just got engaged [insert girly shrieks and giggles]. If all goes well, H & I may be able to attend her U.S. wedding in May ’07. We didn’t factor in any major trips for next year so hopefully we get to save enough money for that. *crosses fingers*

~*~*~*~

I pitched an idea to a blogging network. If they don’t buy the idea, I’ll just post about it here in my personal blog. Problogging sounds intriguing and I decided to give it a shot. Who knows, right? To those who’ve pitched ideas to blogging networks, how long does it take before they reply? Is it safe to say that if they don’t reply in 2-3 weeks time that the idea was turned down? Hmmm.

How’s your week coming along?

weekend has been a total slack one – not as productive as i’d like to be work wise, but then again, i’ve had a tough work week a couple of weeks straight :) ah well the joy of working for my self and being my own boss.

i can work whenever i feel like it hehehehehe –

now, im intrigued.. where is your place.. is it like a condominium? an apartment? i haven’t been back to manila in ages! so i have no idea what housing things are like back there these days..

one thing i have to really say.. OH MY GOD.. YOUR KITCHEN.. it’s a wee bit small.. im sure you can still cook delicious food and take great pics of them too!

    thanks for sharing!

barbara: Yes the kitchen is indeed itsy bitsy! The rest of the home is spacious though so I’m trying not to get discouraged by our little cove of a kitchen. It won’t stop me from preparing meals anyway when the home is all set up! It is a condominium. :)

i love the big windows! great place. a bit small, pero cute and i can imagine it’s gonna be cozy…

it’s been more than 5 yrs since we did this relocation thing, but i don’t know if my memory is just jaded, pero i actually love moving. especially the unpacking part. it’s physically exhausting, pero emotionally, moving makes me feel good, excited, productive, hopeful…

re: problogging. if a network doesn’t respond in a week or so, i’d think twice of pursuing that network. it doesn’t bode well for future relationships…my two cents, me who’s blogging for 3 different networks….

If you have a small kitchen you have a good excuse to dine out ! :-)

Sidney: Oh we’ve been dining out since we started our lease with this new place. It gets pretty expensive! I miss cooking. :( Sadly all the pots and pans are still in boxes, and my energy to cook is missing in action too!

for a condo, i love the spaciousness of your place! i particularly like the tall windows and high ceiling :) some condos kasi make me claustrophobic, hehe. tsaka i think naman the kitchen is utilitarian and perfect for just you and hubby. besides, i like the idea that everything you will need will be just within arms reach – e.g. not having to run around trying to find the chives that you forgot to put in the already burning scrambly egg :) besides, it’s what comes out of the kitchen that’s important, which i’m sure fills up hubby’s tummy and heart extra well… :)

ela: Thanks! Siguro sa California yun wedding. I’m not sure. Sana makapunta kami!

watson: Yeah! Will post before and after photos kapag worthy na malagay sa “after” photo ang home namin hehe. Okay rest ka na!

dexie: Yes it’s a joy seeing boxes get emptied and our old stuff being put in thei respective places! Thanks for wishing me good luck! And my cousin’s based in CA!

meeya: You read my mind! That’s exactly what I thought of upon seeing the tiny kitchen. Everything is within arm’s reach indeed and just because it’s a small space doesn’t mean I’ll be short in filling up my husby’s tummy!

mare: Thank you! The natural light is a huge comfort for me. Our previous condo was was situated in front of a really busy street so we couldn’t open our windows AND our blinds! We could’ve easily put on a show for the pedestrians haha!

Uy nice place Toni. I love the tall windows. Very cozy 😀

This week is not that productive. Im so lazy to go to work, maybe because Im leaving na. I havent cook a decent dish, maybe because my mom does all the cooking lately and I go to mall more often and spend bucks for not so important things. Oh well hope every goes well this weekend 😀

    Have a swell weekend Toni

Congratulations, Tin! So this is the lovenest that you have been talking about. Very nice! Good luck with the unpacking. I’ve been there a number of times already. A little piece of advice…(drops to a whisper) appeal to your hubby’s chivalry…(giggles naughtily)

hi toni! looks like you’ve got a cool home! more pics! :-)

re problogging! Good luck dear! I’m sure you’ll be very good at it! Re turnaround time, it depends on the network. Some can take less than a week, some a few weeks, some (like b5media hehe) can take up to a couple of months! Well, only because the network is busy managing its growth! I’ve got 3 pro blogs goin’ and i love, love all of them! :-)
