My Kitchen

Welcome to my tiny kitchen!

1st row (L-R): Some of you have seen my ref door. Nothing much has changed since I posted it for The Ref Door Project. It’s still full of magnets and little notes.

The semi-blank block is where I do my chopping and dicing. That’s also where the vitamins are placed and where a plastic container with a half-empty pack of Granny Goose chips sits. That’s my kettle, my microwave and at the bottom is a mini-oven I’ve only used once!

Here’s my kitchen sink and my dish dryer. Since there’s no electrical outlet nearby, I only use the dryer as storage for my dishes.

2nd row (L-R): I keep some lotion by my sink. After I wash the dishes, I moisturize my hands to keep them from drying up. There’s also a container of Glass Wipes here. This is for cars, but I’ve discovered it also works well in giving my mirrors, sink and tiles some shine. It cost only P58 at the D-I-Y store at Greenhills. Go get some!

Here’s to wellness! These are some of the vitamins we take. There’s also a bottle of Apple Cider vinegar that I should take every morning. I forget most of the time. There’s a bottle of honey from Ilog Maria which tastes reaaaally good. H & I are resting from taking this every morning though because we’ve gotten a bit “umay” (tired?) with the taste. Then there’s VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) which we heard is good for anything. I didn’t like the taste but I’m looking forward to trying out the chocolate-flavored one. Also in the pic is Berocca, our personal favorite! We swear by its effectiveness.

And finally, Good Luck Bear. He keeps me company while I wash the dishes. He’s settled inside a plastic teapot in one corner by the sink. I ♥ Good Luck Bear. He’s my favorite Care Bear.

So there you have it! A little tour of our little kitchen in our rented home. There isn’t much space to move around. I would love to have a bigger kitchen someday.

My dream kitchen would be spacious. It’ll have a large space for cooking. I’d love to have a big oven so I can learn how to bake cakes and bread! There’d also be a huge island that’ll double as a preparation area and a breakfast area. I’ll also have a shelf filled with cookbooks and foodie books, e.g. Anthony Cappella’s “The Food of Love.” I’ll have plants and herbs on the window sill too. I already have a picture of my dream kitchen in mind. Someday I’ll have that.

Tell me about your dream kitchen. Do you have your dream kitchen yet? If you do, good for you! If not, let’s work towards making that dream come true!

You have a nice and cozy looking kitchen. My husband also longs for a bigger kitchen because he loves cooking. Maybe I should also put a hand lotion on one of our shelves so he can put some after working in the kitchen. I’m sure he will appreciate that thoughtful gesture. Thanks for the nice idea.

I love care bears too. How nice that your favorite care bear keeps you company while you cook.

you have such a tiny kitchen. ako rin! wish ko rin magkaron ng malaking kitchen. with a big 4 burner stove, oven, big fridge, center island, deep sinks, the works! ang hirap kasi magluto sa maliit na kusina eh.

I definitely DON’T have my dream kitchen but I want it big enough to fit an island in the middle so people can sit there and also room for me to cook and/or prepare the food. Ngayon nga lang minsan naiinis ako when the hubby and I bump into each other in the morning sa kusina. I consider the kitchen MY domain. hahhahaa..
