FINALLY, it has been confirmed that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in the upcoming film, Twilight.
In the book, Jacob is a 15-year-old boy who harbors a crush on Bella. He’s just one of the guys Bella hangs out with, so he doesn’t really have a major role in the first book. New Moon and Eclipse have a lot of Jacob Black in it though, so watch out for that!
My thoughts? Oh man. The Jacob Black that has been constantly in my head is hunky Steven Strait. I keep forgetting that Jacob is a young lad in the first book! Given that, Taylor looks good for the role. Jacob matures in the second book though, and in my fan girl brain, that’s the kind of Jacob I think about when I talk about Twilight — you know, hunky, manly, sexy. Taylor Lautner’s a kid! Sigh. But then again, yes, let’s remind ourselves that Jacob WAS a kid in the first book.
I also thought that they’d get a Native American to play Jacob, given his character’s roots and all. But hey, who knows, right? Taylor Lautner could grow into one helluva hunk if ever New Moon and Eclipse do get made. He HAS to grow into one helluva man. Otherwise everyone would be on the Edward-Bella ship! And with Robert Pattinson’s smoldering looks, I wouldn’t blame them.
So anyway we finally have our official Jacob Black. Congratulations to Taylor Lautner. Make us J/B shippers proud!

On another note…I love that I am able to comment with this now because I have read the first book! New Moon is up on my list; and I’m deciding if I should wait for the paperback Eclipse or just splurge on the hardbound just so I can read it continuously. Hmmm.

It’s Stephenie Meyer’s Q&A in Germany. Someone asked her about the ones who found Bella attractive which would surprise people. Apparently, Mr. Banner, the Bio teacher, is one of them. Hahahaha!

HE LOOKS PERFECT! hey don’t fret Toni, he could easily grow up … remember, Danile Radcliffe started out a teeny weeny little boy, look at him now! With how long shoots and editing can take plus promotions he’d have enough time to grow into a hunk. and yeah, Tina’s right, that’s the Jacob smile.
At least they got the Jacob perfect. I still want Steven Straits as the Edward (sorry for me he fits the edward character better) but looking at the promo pics “cedric diggory” looks fine.

I do hope Taylor would grow up to be as tall or nearly as tall as Jacob and measure up with the character.His smile is enigmatic though and the abs…

He is a bit little….but he has potential. Horray Jacob and Bella shippers! I am a huge vampire fan but JAcobs last speech with bella in eclipse compleatly won me over…it helped that edwards over-reacctions were starting to get annoying too.
