Sesame Street and Pop Culture: Always Fun and Entertaining

by

Sesame Street takes on pop culture again! It’s awesome that Sesame Street is finding ways to connect with a broader audience by tapping into popular culture. My kid could be amused by Grover’s antics, and so would I for even more reasons.

The Old Spice ad that went viral for example, is a good way to amuse both parent and child. If you haven’t seen the Old Spice ad that went viral, here you go. Ladies.

And here’s Sesame Street’s version.

Sesame Street: Smell like a monster

LOVE IT! Sesame Street has also spoofed “True Blood” as “True Mud”. Check out Vampire Muppet Bill and Vampire Muppet Sookie!

They also spoofed Mad Men. Before you click the video, can you guess what the spin on this is? Check out Muppet Don Draper too.

Sesame Street has featured a lot of celebrity guests on their show. I know I’d watch Sesame Street more if I see my favorite actors and singers helping educate my kid! In the next two videos, Jason Bateman (I heart you Jason Bateman!) talks about comfort, and Feist sings one of her popular songs with the muppets.

Thank you Sesame Street! You make learning fun and entertaining for kids AND grown-ups.

hey! i just posted something Sesame Street related a couple of days ago! 😀 ahehe… kaka-miss lang talaga. :) too bad the Katy Perry episode didn’t work out. heehee… i dunno. as kids, i don’t think i’d pay too much attention to the dress. it’s the adults who are just thinking about it too much IMO. :)
bursky´s last blog post ..and it’s not just because i’m Catholic
