Nothing ice cream can’t fix

by

H and I watched part of Sharon Cuneta’s talk show last weekend. The topic was on love and second chances. At one portion, the guests talked about how they dealt with their recent break-ups.

Me: “Ang hirap makipag-break ‘no?”
H: *nods*
Me: “Buti nalang tayo, never tayo magbe-break ‘no?”
H: *grins and looks at the ceiling*
Me: “Husby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
H: *chuckles softly*

Ang kulit. Ang kulit-kulit! When we had dessert later on, I gave him two scoops of chocolate ice cream instead of his usual three. Hmph. 😀

I watch her show once in a while… but I don’t think I’ve seen that episode. (I’ll check it later on video on demand). I’ve been “gorging’ on Pinoy entertainment since my Dad purchased TFCko (The Filipino Chanel) which is basically everything that ABS-CBN produces… streamed over the high-speed Internet connection (video on demand).

Having been raised in Canada, I wasn’t familiar WHATSOEVER with Pinoy entertainment (I’m not really familiar with much of the Philippines until last year… when I decided to actively learn more about it). Anyway.. after nearly 2 months of ABS-CBN TV programming & movies… I’ve now had my fill of game shows and teleseryeras… which seem to be all based on the same formula… but I’m enjoying anything that has Piolo Pascual in it… even that sort of lame show called “Lobo”…

I heard Lobo isn’t rating very well. Must be the team-up of Piolo and Angel Locsin. 😐

ahahaa! im sure it wasn’t funny at that moment, but as an afterthought, it’s cute how hubby can be such a playful brat. he deserves that one less scoop. 😀

Hahaha! At least I got to enjoy that extra scoop of his!

I was able to catch a bit of that episode. It’s sad when marriages you thought were in it for the long haul suddenly break up. Second year of marriage na namin ni hubby and I’m thankful the passion is still alive. I guess it really takes (a loving) effort to keep the fires burning even if it’s as simple as watching TV together and eating ice cream. :)

It’s the little things that keep the flame burning after all!

I think Dennis’ reaction is perfect. He meant that by looking at the ceiling and keeping mum, was that “Only God knows…” – in fact, am sure he is sure…that you will be together forever…besides he needs that extra scoop of ice cream – for life.

    Good answer then pala! 😛
