Keeping the family involved

Timmy Update

Every week, I send my family updates on how Baby Timmy’s developing in my tummy. It’s a great way to keep my parents, sisters and in-laws involved with the baby’s growth since we don’t see each other everyday. Their replies are always heartwarming and sometimes funny!

My dad replied to the above SMS, “Yey! Palaki na ng palaki si Timmy parang Mama niya!” (Yey! Timmy is getting bigger and bigger like his/her Mom!) Toink!

My sister Jennie says she looks forward to the updates because she anticipates what fruit the baby’s size will be compared to next!

I get weekly updates from Babyzone and Babycenter, and I also refer to the book “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” That’s what I SMS to my loved ones.

I can’t wait to send them their update this week! My sources say a baby at 17 weeks is the size of a turnip. Timmy the turnip! ๐Ÿ˜€

That’s very charming. Giving updates to your family and we’re like your family cause now we’re updated, too. I’m looking forward to the ‘turnip update’. Take care, Toni and Timmy!

    Thanks Wits!

Hi Toni, I am a friend of Iya, your cousin. She shared your website with me when I told her I was pregnant. I hope you donโ€™t mind that Iโ€™ve been checking your babysteps entries once in a while. I really enjoy reading your blogs and your experiences, especially because we have parallel pregnancies. Wellโ€ฆ almost. Im due on September 3, and I am now 16 weeks pregnant ๏Š I like that you update your family and friends on a weekly basis. There is this website that I check every week to see an ultrasound of how the baby is growing. You can check out http://www.40weeksinmommy.com and click on the weekly links stored in the archives. Anyway, enjoy your pregnancy and baby Timmy! ๏Š

Hi Rea! Thanks a lot for the visit. No prob about checking the Baby Steps entries. I’m here to help! Wow, our due dates are so close together! Thanks for the website reco. You take care now. Hello to the baby! :)

I just had my baby mid-December of 2008 and during my pregnancy i did almost exactly what you were doing-keeping track of the baby’s size this week and the next week. It’s actually so much fun especially for first time mommy like me and you. My mother-in-law gave me 2 books about pregnancy where you can see clear images of the baby as it grow from weeks to months in the womb. I was obsessed of reading it for awhile. Just wait till you start to feel the precious one moving in your tum-tum, oh it’s heaven! There will be some not-so-comfortable moments with sleeping and sitting positions and I’m sure you’ll be just fine. It’s all worth it!

I’ve been feeling some twitches. So precious!! :) Thanks for the comment mariaR!!
