If you build it…

by

That's the Taal Lake in the background. This is one of the pretty lots I saw in Tagaytay.

Pretend you live in that house on the right side of the picture, and that this wide green area is your backyard.

What would you do differently? Will you leave it as it is, with wild herbs and bushes growing sporadically? Or will you construct a gazebo in one corner, or perhaps a hot tub on the far side of the yard?

Gaze into the picture. What would make it complete for you?

lots of flowers, lush trees, a nice house with an attic which i’d convert into my office, i’d also have a barbecue for when friends come over and we’d grill stuff and enjoy great conversation, and a white picket fence..and yes, the noise of children happily playing in the yard. sarap mangarap ano, tones?

    tagaytay! :)

more fruits. except yung medyo mababa lang so as not to obstruct the view of other people.

pero hindi rin talaga yun yung dahilan why i dropped by. how do i use wordpress for my new blog? (na di ko pa muna gagamitin.) para i can try and make it pretty and easy to manipulate like yours. :)

there will be a vegetable patch, a herb garden, and a flower patch where i can get cut flowers to fill the house with… there will be a huge sycamore tree on one side where a hammock hangs for when i want quiet times with a book, a pool to dip in on a hot summer day, and a brick fireplace where friends and family can gather around on cool nights.

that is my ideal backyard… *sigh*.

    Okay, my turn!

I’d fill my backyard with veggies on one side, flowers all over. I’ll have a little gazebo or bahay kubo (nipa hut) for bahay-bahayan games. That’d be neat for my future children wouldn’t it!

I’d also love to have a little fountain somewhere, but it might be a breeding spot for mosquitoes so… scratch that.

Okay so veggies, lots of flowers, a gazebo or nipa hut, and a little cove with two chairs and a table — a nice nook for drinking tea or reading a book. And lots lots lots of space for running around and taking a walk, or doing morning tai chi.

    Lovely!

what a nice idea toni. like most of you, i would also like to plant different kinds of flowers. the display of colorful flowers would definitely bring a warm feeling everytime i gaze outside the balcony each morning. a vegetable garden and some fruit bearing trees would be perfect. i’ll put a small playground for my son, complete with a sandbox. i like your idea of a gazebo toni so hope you don’t mind if i put one myself. :) a lovely pool would serve as a venue for family bonding. to complete the picture, i’d love to have my family and friends join me in such a peaceful environment … and of course my dog bruno. he would surely love all that space where he can run around.
