This montage of female beauty in this clip is amazingly beautiful. The creator of the video put together “500 Years of Female Portraits in Western Art“.
While the artist’s styles vary and perhaps, even evolved over the ages, one thing remains consistent: how they captured the beauty of women is impeccable. And the man behind the video has done a mighty fine job bringing these portraits to life.
If you’d like to know the titles and artists behind each painting, this site has a list. I’d encourage you to watch the video before going through the list, as the magic of the video is in seeing and feeling the evolution, the transition, and the consistency of feminine beauty.
Enjoy!
Thank you to Dexter for leading me to this link.

December 7, 2007 at 1:02 am (16 years ago)all the women look the same in some ways, the angle perhaps or the shape of the face. all portraits exudes femininity. truly, the transition is great. so fluid.

December 7, 2007 at 10:02 am (16 years ago)I fully agree that the transition was so seamless. I wonder if the same could be done with actual photos. That would be so cool, I think.
